Weatherly and de Pablo recently shared details about Tali in the spinoff, with Weatherly saying that the daughter is essentially the third lead in the Paramount+ series. The actor and executive producer underlined Tali’s complicated feelings about Ziva, given the character’s history, and suggested that trust would be an issue between mother and daughter. This is a reference to Ziva’s memorable NCIS exit.
After Ziva’s supposed death in the main NCIS show, Tony left the team to raise their daughter. Years later, however, Ziva is discovered alive. This leads her to complete one final mission before she’s reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris.
