We loved Heartland so much that we’re rewatching it from the beginning. It truly stands out as the best family series ever.

Ty is my absolute favorite character, with Caleb coming in a very close second. As Caleb matured on screen, he became increasingly handsome—his smile is just irresistible! But Graham Wardle won my heart with Ty’s blend of sensitivity and bravery, especially when he stood up to protect those more vulnerable, whether people or animals. His unwavering commitment to keeping Amy safe, no matter the circumstances, made me fall for him, even though I’m old enough to be his grandmother.

Choosing just one favorite character is nearly impossible because the series is perfectly cast. The casting director deserves an award for their choices. Shaun Johnston is absolutely perfect as Jack, and Chris Potter brings just the right mix of irritation and endearing qualities to Tim. But how can anyone choose between Graham Wardle and Amber Marshall? Their on-screen relationship was the heart of the show, the glue that held everything together. With Ty’s absence, Heartland feels like it has a void. The love and respect between Ty and Amy were the core of the Fleming-Bartlett family dynamic, making the series truly special. It’s almost painful to see the show without them side by side. Life inevitably brings its share of tragedies, but we’re grateful to Heartland’s writers for Grandpa Jack’s comforting words to Amy about coping with Ty’s loss and moving forward. Heartland remains the best series I’ve ever watched—it has left a lasting imprint on my soul.
